Players across the NBA have found ways to pay tribute to the late Los Angeles Lakers lenged Kobe Bryant in recent weeks. Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray is no different.

Ahead of Denver's Wednesday night matchup against the Lakers, Murray sported a Kobe Lower-Merion jersey.

Murray is not the first to do this sort of thing since Bryant's tragic death on January 26, but it's significant as the Nuggets will be facing off against Bryant's former team in the Lakers.

Bryant, of course, was involved in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California last month that took his life, along with his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven other passengers..

Kobe Bryant spent his entire 20-year NBA career with Los Angeles where he won five championships, was named to 15 All-NBA teams and was awarded league MVP for the 2007-08 season.

As for Jamal Murray, the former top-10 pick has been an essential cog in the Nuggets' well-oiled machine. As the team's starting point guard, the former Kentucky star is averaging a career-high 18.6 points per game to go along with 4.0 rebounds and 3.2 assists while shooting 45.2 percent from the field and 34.3 percent from deep.

Murray's contributions are a big reason why Denver currently sits as the second seed in the Western Conference with a 38-16 record.

Denver will have a chance to close the three-game gap between them and the Lakers this Wednesday while extending their win streak to five games before the All-Star break.
