Denver Nuggets point guard Jamal Murray suffered a thigh injury in Game 7 against the Utah Jazz after getting fouled by Joe Ingles.

While Murray was laboring a little bit during Game 7 following Ingles' hit, the Nuggets star will be playing in Game 1 against the Los Angeles Clippers in the second round of the playoffs.

Jamal Murray and Donovan Mitchell put on a show in the Jazz-Nuggets series. Now, Denver will be counting on Murray to go off against Kawhi Leonard, Paul George and the Clippers.

Against the Jazz, Murray averaged 31.6 points, 5.6 rebounds and 6.3 assists. He shot 55.0 percent from the field, 53.3 percent from beyond the arc and 92.0 percent from the free-throw line.

The Nuggets will certainly need the 23-year-old guard and All-Star center Nikola Jokic to play like superstars if the team wants to upset the second-seeded Clippers.

For Murray to miss a playoff game, he would have to be dealing with a serious injury. The Canadian, who was trained by his father growing up, has very high pain tolerance and is willing to do whatever it takes to help his team win.

There were many pundits who criticized the Nuggets for giving Murray a max contract extension. Those critics are nowhere to be found now, as Jamal has established himself as one of the best point guards in the NBA.
