Denver Nuggets power forward Paul Millsap thinks Michael Porter Jr. “can be a terror on the defensive end” for the team this season.

All anyone talks about is Porter's offensive skills since he's a gifted scorer. Millsap, a defensive-minded guy, believes the youngster is going to make the Nuggets' defense even more lethal this season.

Porter scored nine points in 16 minutes in his NBA debut against the Portland Trail Blazers. He followed that up with 12 points in 12 minutes versus the Los Angeles Clippers and 11 points in 21 minutes against the Phoenix Suns.

It's clear Porter can score the ball with ease. It's why many believe the Nuggets got the steal of the 2018 draft in Porter.

Millsap is excited for Porter to join the rotation this season and help Denver make a deeper run in the playoffs. The Nuggets got to the second round of the postseason in 2019, losing to the Blazers in seven games.

When he was in high school, Porter was arguably the best player in the country. In fact, NBA execs pegged him as the No. 1 draft prospect for the 2018 draft. However, a back surgery while he was at the University of Missouri caused Porter's stock to drop.

Now back in action, Porter is ready to show the world he's the best player from the 2018 draft class.
