N’Faly Dante, a former five-star college basketball prospect, is apparently still waiting to get cleared to play for the Oregon Ducks this season.

For those unaware, the young man was originally a member of the 2020 recruiting class, but then decided to join the 2019 grouping instead.

According to head coach Dana Altman, the entire process hasn't yet resulted in a known verdict.

“We’re still going through admissions with him,” Altman admitted when pressed about Dante’s status, via the terrific Scoop Duck. “I’m not really sure what his situation is, and we’ll get it work out here this week.”

Originally, when a member of the 2020 class, every reputable recruiting service outlet did consider N’Faly Dante a five-star prospect. Not only that, though, as most tended to agree he was one of the 16 (or so) best players in the entire 2020 recruiting class. Some believed him to be the very best center in high school.

Obviously, this story is a bit fluid. Whenever the Oregon Ducks provide more information, we'll relay it back to the readers.
