Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is in danger of missing the playoffs for the first time since 2995, but he hasn't given up on the season just yet. The Lakers still have a slightly good chance at making the playoffs, but the four-time said that they will need to start over and figure things out anew, and it has to begin against the Phoenix Suns, whom they will face on Sunday.

“Listen, this is win or lose, and obviously you want to build, but it’s win or lose in that particular moment. … We can’t say, ‘OK, we were great three quarters, 3½ quarters versus Milwaukee.’ Nope, we can’t do that. We have to be great against Phoenix (on Saturday) and hit the restart button.”

The Lakers just lost another great opportunity to inch closer to a playoff spot, when they gave up a double-digit second half lead in a 131-120 loss against the Milwaukee Bucks last night. It was a game that they have controlled for the first 44 minutes, but they weren't able to close out the Eastern Conference leaders.

With a 30-32 record, the Lakers find themselves four games behind the Los Angeles Clippers and San Antonio Spurs, who are tied for the eighth spot in the Western Conference. If there's a time for them to figure things out and start winning, it's now.

Majority of the Lakers' last 20 games will be against playoff teams, so it will not be an easy road for them.

But having LeBron on their side should at least give them a fighting chance, and as history shows, no one can really count him out just yet.
