And so it continues. The fickle relationship of Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers has seemingly reached another turn. In a conference call with beat writers on Friday, the latter was asked about the status of the documentary that both Packers legends were supposedly working on.

“I don’t really have any updates at this point on that,” replied Rodgers. “I can say there was some really good stuff that we got to talk about during that time. But it’s unclear at this point what’s going to happen with that.”

It was only years ago wherein Favre and Rodgers shared the stage at the 2013 NFL Honors as the two shook hands and even exchanged jokes with one another.

“That was big for our relationship I know. It’s progressed really since the handshake onstage at the Honors to where now him and I are very close, and we do talk very frequently. So that’s been a lot of fun to have him back in my life,” said Rodgers.

It will be recalled that the selection of Rodgers in the 2005 NFL Draft caused quite the commotion in Packers Nation since Favre was still entrenched as the team’s starting quarterback.

“My contract doesn’t say I have to get Aaron Rodgers ready to play. Now hopefully he watches me and gets something from that,” Favre said.

Rodgers spent the next three years in the sidelines as Favre’s backup and the former would openly state appreciation for his mentor, even praising Favre late last year.

“I love Brett, I always had a great appreciation for him but we were caught in the middle of a power struggle that unfortunately broke apart Brett and the Packers and Brett and myself.”

One can only assume what’s next in the ever-changing dynamic between the two Packers legends. Hopefully peace or something.
