Oklahoma City Thunder forward Paul George has seemed to have found his groove on the offensive end.
An odd statement, but George even said it himself in a Tuesday morning media session. After scoring 36 points and shooting 63.2 percent from the field in Saturday's blowout win over the Cleveland Cavaliers, he was asked how he felt this shooting was coming long.
Per Erik Horne of The Oklahoman, there was a nagging injury that has gotten better, which has helped George find his stroke.
“Before, I felt like it was such a struggle, such a hassle to shoot the ball that it was kinda throwing me out of my game and made my uncomfortable on the court,” George said. “But it's starting to loosen up. Over time, it's getting a lot better.”

George has shot 43.6 percent from the field and 42.9 percent from 3-point range so far this season, per Basketball-Reference. Throughout the season, he has had games in which his shooting percentage has been in the low 30s, and others where he has shot in the high 40s and around 50 percent. Needless to say, George has been a little inconsistent with his shot this season.
An injury to the forearm of his shooting will do that, as will him acclimating to to new teammates in an entirely new situation. But as the midpoint of the season has passed, it appears George is settling in and, apparently, getting more healthy.
Shooting is just one of the things George is good at. Once he's shooting the way everyone knows he can on a consistent basis, that Thunder team will be all the more dangerous.
