Minnesota Viking star wide receiver Adam Thielen has reportedly left Monday Night Football's game against the Seattle Seahawks with an ankle injury, according to the Vikings' official Twitter account.

UPDATE: Thielen managed to get back on the field.

For a minute there, Vikings fans held their collective breath, as Minnesota simply do not want to lose a player of Thielen’s caliber.

However, Thielen and the Vikings’ offense had an extremely difficult time finding the end zone against Seattle’s stout defense. Thielen finished with 70 receiving yards on five catches and seven targets, but he never came close to scoring a touchdown in the contest.

Thielen entered Week 14 with 1,166 receiving yards and 98 receptions, and with his performance in the Seahawks game, he became just the third player in franchise history to get at least 100 catches in a season.

The Vikings ultimately lost the game, 21-7, to see their record worsen to 6-6-1. With only three games remaining on the schedule, they are unlikely to catch the 9-4 Chicago Bears atop the NFC North division, but they can still hitch a ride to the playoffs via a wild card route.

Up next of Adam Thielen and the Vikings is a date with the Miami Dolphins at home in Week 15.
