The Indiana Pacers have traded Paul George to the Oklahoma City Thunder, per ESPN's Ramona Shelburne.

George has been on the trade block since making it clear that he's going to leave Indiana to join the Los Angeles Lakers when his contract ends in the summer of 2018.

The Pacers were left with little leverage when George also made his intentions known to any team trading for him that he would not sign an extension and would bolt after next season for L.A.

The trade consists of Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis in exchange for George, with no draft picks involved.

As rumors surfaced about where George would go, many offers were proposed, including one deal from the Boston Celtics on draft night that was rejected.

That deal, according to a league source, was three first-round picks (not the Nets pick next year or the Lakers/Kings pick) and two starters (Crowder being one).

It was the Celtics' idea to trade for George in order to convince Gordon Hayward to sign with them, but that plan didn't work.

George will now be paired in the West with Russell Westbrook, where he can share scoring duties beside the 2017 MVP next season.
