Miami Heat stretch forward Kelly Olynyk is a feisty defender. He gets into opponents' faces and challenges them, and Indiana Pacers swingman Thaddeus Young  found that out the hard way.

The Pacers were in South Beach Friday to take on the Heat, and Young was ejected for a flagrant 2 foul on Olynyk.

It was a pretty blatant flop there from Kelly Olynyk. Young should have the right to create some air space, especially since Olynyk was right in his face. If anything, it should have just been an offensive foul on Young, but the refs felt Young deserved to be ejected.

The Pacers entered Friday with a 7-5 record. They are projected to be one of the best teams in the East this season now that LeBron James is out West. Thaddeus Young is averaging 9.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game on the season while shooting 48.1 percent from the field, 20.0 percent from beyond the arc, and 47.1 percent from the free-throw line.

The Heat, meanwhile, entered Friday at 5-5. Kelly Olynyk is posting averages of 8.2 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game while shooting 44.8 percent from the field, 28.9 percent from the 3-point line and 79.2 percent from the charity stripe.

Dwyane Wade and Goran Dragic were out of Friday night's contest.
