Houston Rockets guard Patrick Beverley made the most of a heated situation at the end of the third quarter which saw teammate James Harden being assessed a technical foul and forward Nene ejected, while San Antonio Spurs center Dewayne Dedmon was also hit with a tech after an altercation.

Beverley made the most of the mess and decided to go an eye for an eye, baiting Dedmon into yet another technical foul and consequent ejection while ready to shoot a pair at the stripe.

While it's unknown what exactly was said — it's a fitting Beverley-move to play a Jedi mind trick while tempers ran high and draw Dedmon's ejection from the game.

Following the toss, Rockets head coach Mike D'Antoni chose David Lee to shoot the two remaining free throws, which drew a comical response from his counterpart Gregg Popovich.

Assuming Game 2 is anywhere close to what this first game has been, it's sure to say there's bound to be more fireworks between these two teams — especially with the Spurs licking their wounds after an embarrassing 126-99 Game 1 loss.
