Big East legend and former NBA player Patrick Ewing is in his first year as head coach of the Georgetown Hoyas, and he wants his team to know that he has no time for any shenanigans from his players.

During a timeout in Tuesday’s road game against the DePaul Blue Demons, Ewing gave one Hoya a “who do you think you are?” tongue lashing after that player tried to be little fancy in the game.

A step-back, one-legged shot is something reserved for the likes of Dirk Nowitzki or anyone with the same footwork as Kobe Bryant, and whoever it was that Patrick Ewing was eviscerating certainly do not possess any discernible ability enough to convince his coach that he was capable of successfully executing such maneuver.

Georgetown has not made it to the Big Dance since 2015. To make it back, the Hoyas will have to play smarter in a tough conference like the Big East.

Ewing played college ball for Georgetown from 1981 to 1985, leading the Hoyas to three National Championship Game appearances winning one in 1984 against the Michael Young, Hakeem Olajuwon-led Houston Cougars in the National Finals.

Fortunately for the Hoyas, they still won the DePaul game, 90-81, giving Patrick Ewing the first conference win of his coaching career Georgetown. The Hoyas improve to 11-3 overall and 1-2 in the Big East.
