The New England Patriots captivated headlines after the rumors started swirling about the turmoil brewing between head coach Bill Belichick and superstar quarterback Tom Brady. Despite all the vivid details that were reported, the Patriots have since come together to deny any notion of a rift happening within the team.

Among the most telling aspects was Belichick's denial of special privileges to Brady's personal trainer Alex Guerrero. However, the veteran coach has since come out and said that he and Guerrero actually have a solid relationship during an appearance on Dale & Holly with Keefe on WEEI:

“I have a great relationship with both Robert and Tom, and I would throw in there, since it was part of the article, I feel like I have a good relationship with Alex, too,” Belichick said.

Belichick added that there were a lot of details that got blown out of proportion.

“I think we’re talking about a lot of inaccuracies here,” Belichick said. “I respect Alex and I think I have a good professional relationship with him. I can’t speak for him, but I think he would say the same thing.”

Guerrero had released a statement touching up on some of his experiences in working with the Patriots. However, he never mentioned whether or not the relationship between he and Belichick is copacetic.

Some of the reports suggested that Guerrero would sometimes undermine the Patriots medical staff and, as a result, was not allowed to travel with the team or stand on the sidelines during games. Needless to say, the decision did not sit well with Brady which has now raised speculation regarding the future of the NFL's best franchise in the new millennium.
