New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick won a game by 45 or more points for the fourth time in his career, according to ESPN Stats & Info, who provided the mind-boggling statistic.

Not only is the Patriots head coach the only active person in the NFL to have complied as many victories, he is now tied with Tom Landry as the only other person to have done it in league history.

Though New England entered the game with a 5-6 record on the year, the victory Sunday afternoon not only brought the Patriots back to .500, but it was their fourth win in the past five contests. Despite the AFC East club remaining three games behind the Buffalo Bills for the lead in the division, they have reinserted themselves back into contention for a wild card spot, as they trail the Las Vegas Raiders by only a single game in the loss column.

While the blowout win was further evidence of Belichick's security atop the Patriot franchise, it came at the expense of a Chargers team that may be on the precipice of firing their own head coach.

Dropping to 3-9 on the season, Los Angeles finds themselves not only at the bottom of the AFC West, but unable to convert Justin Herbert's strong performance at the quarterback position into tangible wins. With Anthony Lynn drawing much of the blame for the team's continued struggles, the coach appeared emotional at his post-game press conference, underscoring the fragility of his own position.

Unfortunately for the rest of the league, it's doubtful  Lynn will be the last coach Bill Belichick pushes towards the breaking point.
