Throughout his career, Hunter Henry has had one glaring problem and it's been avoiding the injury bug. The New England Patriots put to side most of those concerns when they signed Henry to a three-year deal in the offseason that included $25 million guaranteed.

The Patriots were very aggressive in their offseason spending and many believe they landed the best two tight ends available in Henry and Jonnu Smith. Henry however, suffered a shoulder injury in practice on Sunday and is now set for an MRI.

Take the initial part as a full-go or take it with a grain of salt, but it has to be somewhat encouraging that the Patriots have early indications that Henry's shoulder injury isn't too serious.

Henry has yet to make it through a full season in his career although he's battled through injuries to play on Sunday's on some occasions. He played 14 games for the Los Angeles Chargers in 2020 and 12 the year before that before agreeing to a three-year deal this past offseason with the Patriots.

When he is healthy, Henry is a dynamic tight end with great hands who seems to always have a knack for the ball finding him. The Patriots are hoping they get that version of the tight end and not the one who has battled consistent injuries in his career.

Fingers crossed that the MRI results are promising for Henry and that this is just a brief little bump in the road for both him and the New England Patriots.
