The New England Patriots have only had Mohamed Sanu on their team for two games so far and Julian Edelman has already learned that he is an ‘unbelievable teammate.’

Edelman pointed out that Sanu has been a helpful voice for young players like rookie N’Keal Harry and has great insight to share given his eight seasons of NFL experience. In addition to being a great locker room presence, Sanu has made a strong impact on the field.

“I’ll tell you right now, MoMo’s an unbelievable teammate,” Edelman said on an appearance on WEEI’s “The Greg Hill Show”. “I didn’t even know about (him mentoring Harry), and it doesn’t surprise me that he was probably talking to N’Keal or whoever and probably giving them some great words of advice because he’s played a lot of football in this league as well. … He had a good game and he did a lot of great things for us out there and it’s good having him. It’s good adding a playmaker.”

The first game that Sanu played for the Patriots was a clear adjustment for him. He made only two receptions on five targets for 23 yards against the Cleveland Browns. However, he managed to bring in 10 receptions on 14 targets for 81 yards and 1 touchdown against the Baltimore Ravens.

Without Antonio Brown or Josh Gordon in the mix at the wide receiver position, the acquisition of Sanu should prove to bring stability to the position. He has been a great fit in the team’s culture off the field and within their offense.
