Since rejoining the New England Patriots earlier this month, tight end Martellus Bennett has quickly fit back into the mix of things.

However, it appears that the injury bug could keep him off the field on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins as Ian Rapoport of NFL Network is reporting that Bennett is dealing with a hamstring injury.

The 30-year-old has been hampered much of this season by nagging injuries, which played a big part in the Green Bay Packers parting ways with him. Bennett has been able to play in nine games including a pair with the Patriots where he hauled in all six targets for 53 yards.

His possible absence from Sunday's contest could lead to the Patriots leaning more on Dwayne Allen and Rob Gronkowski in the passing game. Injuries have continued to impact New England's receiving core with Julian Edelman, Chris Hogan, Danny Amendola, and Gronkowski and some sort of capacity.

It has yet to have any significant impact on Tom Brady's ability to lead the team to success as he heads the NFL with 3,147 passing yards and a 110.9 passer rating along with being second with 22 touchdown passes. The Patriots are currently tied with the Pittsburgh Steelers with the best mark in the AFC at an 8-2 record while winning their last six straight games.
