New England Patriots wide receiver Mohamed Sanu will be ready to play in Week 8 against the Cleveland Browns if the team needs him to go.

During a conversation with Josina Anderson of ESPN on Tuesday night, Sanu said “we'll see what the plan is. I'm ready if they want me to go.”

Sanu also told Anderson that it was bittersweet leaving Atlanta but he is excited to build a relationship with a new fan base and community.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Patriots sent a second-round pick to the Atlanta Falcons to get Sanu to Foxborough.

Sanu won't have a ton of practice time before the Patriots take on the Browns so if the team decides to play him still seems to be up the air. Quarterback Tom Brady was asked how long he thinks it will take to get on the same page with Sanu to which he replied he wasn't exactly sure.

“I’m not sure, I’ve never been around him or anything like that,” said Brady via boston.com. “We’ll just have to see how it goes and try to improve day by day. I know that sounds like a cliche answer, but that’s the truth. I mean [he’s] been in a different offense for a long period of time, and it’s not like you just come in and all of sudden you know everything. He certainly knows how to play pro football and has played at a very high level, so that obviously helps. But it’s just learning our terminology and then it’s just working at it together.”

Even if Sanu doesn't go against the Browns he is going to have a huge impact on Patriots down the stretch run of this season.
