The New England Patriots took Arizona State wide receiver N'Keal Harry with the 32nd overall pick of the 2019 NFL Draft on Thursday night, and Harry is thrilled to join an organization that has won six Super Bowl championships:

“I’m extremely excited,” said Harry, per Tyler Sullivan of 247 Sports. “I’m just ecstatic to come in, work hard, constantly improve and just live up to the expectations.”

Harry wasn't sure if he would even get drafted on the first day of the draft, but he was sure happy with the results:

“It was so surreal, especially for me, waiting that long and getting to the end of the first round,” he said. “I was honestly starting to think maybe I had to start getting ready for Day 2. So, when I got that call, I tried not to be emotional, but I couldn’t really hold it back at that point. I just felt so blessed, I was so thankful for the Patriots organization. I was just thanking God and I’m just ready to get to work.”

The Patriots are in desperate need of some help in the passing game after losing tight end Rob Gronkowski to retirement and wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson to free agency this offseason. Not only that, but wideout Josh Gordon is serving an indefinite suspension.

So, obviously, any production Harry brings to the table will be more than welcome.

New England is coming off of a 2018 campaign in which it won 11 games and captured its 10th straight AFC East division title. The Pats then went on to defeat the Los Angeles Rams in the Super Bowl.
