When it comes to hazing rookies, the world of the NFL is no stranger to the idea. With new rookies coming into the league, they know that some sort of pranks will be pulled on them, but for incoming New England Patriots wide receiver N’Keal Harry, he is hoping that his veteran teammates stay away from one particular place.

Speaking to Fox Sports 1’s Kristine Leahy (via MassLive), Harry was asked after the show what he thinks about rookie haircuts. Harry – who has a very large head of hair – seemed to quickly note that he’d be willing to do just about anything if it meant keeping his hair.

“Let’s just say this,” Harry said. “Let’s just hope I don’t get a rookie haircut, because if I do, confidence is out the window, production might go down a little bit, so I might as well just keep the hair on the head. Think of something else.”

When Leahy asked what Harry thought Tom Brady would think about the situation, the young wide receiver quickly pivoted to trying to plead directly to the quarterback.

“Let’s pray. I’ll do anything,” Harry said jokingly, although when it comes time for training camp, it’s unknown just how things will go.

Rookie haircuts are nothing new in the NFL world, and Brady himself has even given a handful. For the Patriots and the rest of the NFL, the haircuts are just another aspect of getting acclimated to the locker room. While rookie haircuts may not be a thing across every NFL team, Harry will certainly be hoping that the Patriots do something else to him when training camp opens in a couple of weeks.
