Remember all of those New England Patriots naysayers who said that the team might not get that far in the playoffs due to Tom Brady's decline?

Of course you do, because everyone was just saying that on Saturday.

So, naturally, Brady went out and completed 34 of his 44 passes for 343 yards and a touchdown in a 41-28 Divisional Round playoff win over the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday afternoon.

After the game, Brady was asked about the Patriots' upcoming AFC Championship Game showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs next weekend, and here is what he had to say:

“It'll be a good game,” said Brady, according to Chris Donovan of ABC News. “They're a good team, and we played them earlier this year. I know, you know, everyone thinks we suck, and you know, can't win any games. We'll see. It'll be fun.”

While no one went that far in their assessment of the Patriots, there were very few people who actually believed they had it in them to beat the Chargers the way they did.

The score did not even tell the story, as the Pats got out to a 35-7 halftime lead and then extended that edge to 38-7 early in the second half.

Patriots rookie running back Sony Michel rushed for 129 yards and three touchdowns, and Rex Burkhead added a rushing score of his own. Julian Edelman hauled in nine receptions for 151 yards, James White caught 15 passes and Phillip Dorsett grabbed Brady's lone touchdown pass.

New England won 11 games this season and won the AFC East division for the 10th straight time.
