The New England Patriots have been known for developing undrafted free agents and quarterback Tom Brady has been impressed with one in particular so far in training camp.

All the eyes so far in training camp has been in rookie first-round pick N'Keal Harry but Brady has also taken notice of former N.C. State wide receiver Jakobi Meyers.

Meyers has been making all the plays he has needed to so far in training camp and has also made a couple of impressive catches.

“He's done a great job and he's taken advantage of his opportunities,” Brady said of Myers on Monday following New England's joint practice with the Detroit Lions via CBS Sports.

Brady knows that once you get on the football field, it doesn't matter where you are drafted and Myers is taking advantage of that.

“I think that's really what we try to stress to anybody. It really doesn't matter – the football doesn't care how old you are, whether you were drafted or not. The football doesn't care how much experience you have. It just knows that when I let that ball go, it's got to be in the hands of the guy who it's intended for. If that happens to be him, it's him. If it's Julian, it's Julian. Whoever it is, it doesn't matter in football.”

A spot is still not guaranteed for Meyers on the roster but if Brady is impressed with him, there is no doubt that has to help his chances at making the team.
