The New England Patriots square off with the Dallas Cowboys in Week 12. It should be a great matchup of two division leaders… but will it include Tom Brady?

That being said, the Patriots should have to distinct advantages. First of all, they boast the best record in the NFL, with a 9-1 mark (while the Cowboys are 6-5). Second, they are the home team. New England hasn't lost a game at home since Week 4 of the 2017 season.

However, there is something pretty strong going against the Patriots as well. Superstar and future Hall of Fame quarterback, Tom Brady, is listed as questionable.

Obviously, if Brady can't go for whatever reason, the Patriots are a drastically different team. Even when the quarterback is not looking like his usual self, Brady simply makes winning plays.

It also doesn't help matters that his backup is Jarrett Stidham. A rookie who was drafted in the fourth-round this year, and is 2-for-4 with 14 yards and an interception this season.

There is a positive way of looking at this situation though. Brady has been on the injury report quite a bit in his career. So much so that everyone believed Bill Belichick was simply putting him on the list to make opposing teams unsure if he would actually play.

So it seems like Belichick is quick to put the quarterback on the report. That honestly makes sense as if Brady is dealing with any type of discomfort it's smarter to be safe and not have him run through a full practice at this point in his career.

With that in mind, maybe this is something that really isn't serious at all. It's just some slight discomfort and the Patriots thought better safe than sorry. If his elbow is feeling funny, no reason to have him throwing in practice.

It's hard to ever look too much into Brady on the injury report. This is a big matchup that New England has coming up with Dallas though, so this is something you'll want to watch closely.
