There were once rumors that the New England Patriots could land Odell Beckham Jr., but those rumors are long gone. With Tom Brady no longer in New England, Beckham's interest in a trade to the Patriots seems to be nonexistent now, per Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com.

Just a couple of days ago, Cabot spoke to Tom Curran of NBC Sports Boston about Beckham's interest (or lack thereof) in joining the Patriots:

“Now that Tom Brady is gone, I’m pretty sure it would be a dead issue,” Cabot said. “I don’t know that Odell is pining to go to New England without Brady there. I think he is completely, 100 percent enamored with Tom Brady.

Over the past few offseasons, Beckham's name has always been linked to New England. Even after a dismal first season with the Cleveland Browns in 2019, those rumors were ignited once again.

However, when Brady decided to leave the Patriots in free agency, it seems like his interest has officially faded. Besides Brady, the idea of playing under Bill Belichick once enticed Beckham to head to New England, according to Cabot.

“I’ve talked to Odell myself just about how he feels about Tom Brady and Bill Belichick, so it was the combination of those two guys that he from afar always wistfully wished he could be a part of that. Now that Tom isn’t there, I wouldn’t necessarily think that this is something he would be clamoring after.”

There's no doubt that it would have been quite the spectacle to see Beckham catching passes from Brady. But with Brady continuing his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the rumors involving Beckham to the Patriots can now cease to exist.
