Many people have attempted a Bill Belichick impression, but perhaps none have done it better than New England Patriots receiver Julian Edelman. Edelman has been in the public eye a lot over the last week, as he makes the rounds promoting a new documentary about him.

Recently, Edelman opened up about his PED suspension from last year from the first time. He also appeared on the popular podcast ‘Pardon My Take.' Today, we have a new clip from his Showtime documentary, courtesy of Bleacher Report.

Edelman said he tries to stay locked in during the season, so that he doesn't draw the ire of his coach.

“Everything’s always about football. I mean ultimately that’s why I have all these opportunities. I don’t want to get a knock or a text from Bill, because I ain’t tryna be no distraction. Coach Belichick would probably say something like,” Edelman says before launching into his Belichick impression.

It's pretty funny, and he captures the legendary coach's diction quite well. Belichick has an underrated sense of humor, so it's possible he'll enjoy the impression too.

That being said, don't expect Edelman to be breaking it out once the season starts. The Patriots have another Super Bowl championship to defend, and you can expect them to be all-business once again in 2019.

Edelman is 33 now, but he didn't show any sign of slowing down last season. He had a playoff run that will go down in the history books, which culminated in a Super Bowl MVP award.
