Paul George looks like he'll actually be suiting up for Team USA the summer.
After recently saying he planned to “give it a shot” he now has officially declared his intention to play in the Rio Olympics.
This is of course big news because of the horrific compound leg fracture George suffered in the 2014 Team USA scrimmage that kept him out of almost the entire 2014-15 NBA season. However, George returned to the NBA in All-Star fashion this season; he averaged 23.1 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 1.9 steals in 34.8 minutes.
George could be one of the stars for Team USA this summer as many top players have opted not to participate, including Stephen Curry and Blake Griffin.
