Brandon Ingram's recent run in form has got New Orleans Pelicans coach Willie Green raving.

Zion Williamson is still out of action and the New Orleans Pelicans are badly needing someone to step up for the team. Apparently, NOLA doesn't need to look no further as Brandon Ingram has already made his pitch.

Over the Pelicans‘ last seven games, Ingram has been exceptional on the offensive end. Defenders have been all over him most of the time but the former Duke star still managed to score in bunches, having averaged 25.4 PPG over the said stretch.

Delighted with Ingram's sensational run, Pelicans' head coach Willie Green was thrilled to admit that this has been what they are all wanting to see from the Al-Star forwad.

“He’s just been playing at a higher level, playing faster, more aware of what’s going on around him,” Green said of Ingram via The Athletic. “Really, there are times when he’s just taking over the game, which I love to see from him.”

Ingram, on the other hand, had previously expressed his real thoughts on the Pelicans' underwhelming season.

According to the 24-year-old, a glimmer of light awaits at the end of the tunnel whenever hard work is being put in.

“I’ve made a commitment to New Orleans that I was going to be here for five years and not knowing what was going to come with it,” Ingram explained. “Of course, I want to always be on the winning side. It’s always frustrating when you lose, you lose and you lose. But I think you find beauty in pushing hard. I’m trying to figure out a way with the group that we have with making each other better every single day.”
