When DeMarcus Cousins went down with an injury most believed the New Orleans Pelicans would have no chance to make the playoffs. Anthony Davis picked up the slack though and the Pelicans ultimately ended up with the 6th seed and a first-round matchup with the Portland Trail Blazers.

Even though Cousins is away from the team rehabbing, he still hopes to take in one of the playoff games. According to Marc J. Spears of the Undefeated:

“Injured New Orleans Pelicans center DeMarcus Cousins recently relocated back to his off-season home of Las Vegas to continue his six-day per week rehabilitation regimen from his torn Achilles' tendon injury, a source told ESPN's The Undefeated. The four-time NBA All-Star hopes to attend an upcoming Pelicans playoff game, but the source said such is difficult due to his rehab.”

With the first round series happening in Portland that could make it easier for Cousins to make a quick trip to take in a game.

Cousins has to be happy with what he is seeing from his Pelicans. They used strong defense against Damian Lillard to win the first game by two points and take a 1-0 series lead.

After Game 1 Alvin Gentry told Nola.com that Cousins still hasn't been cleared to fly, which makes it hard for him to continue to rehab and be with the team.

With the first round series happening in Portland that could make it easier for Cousins to make a trip to take in a game but if he would have to drive that is still over 15 hours away.
