New Orleans Pelicans point guard Lonzo Ball was asked by Jim Eichenhofer of Pelicans.com to name his all-time starting five.

Lonzo went with Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Shaquille O'Neal:

All-time NBA starting five: “Magic at the 1, Jordan at the 2, LeBron at the 3, Kevin Durant at 4, Shaq at the 5.”

LeBron was Ball's favorite player growing up. The two were teammates on the Los Angeles Lakers last season and Lonzo said it was unreal to play with his childhood idol.

However, it didn't last long, as the Lakers traded Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram and Josh Hart to the Pelicans for superstar big man Anthony Davis last summer. Lonzo, though, is still going to keep James in his all-time lineup.

The rest of these four players are Hall of Famers, too. Magic is arguably the best point guard of all-time, while Jordan is the GOAT. Durant is an unstoppable scorer who can shoot over anyone and from anywhere, and Shaq is the most dominant player to ever play the game.

In his first season with the Pelicans before play was suspended due to COVID-19, Ball was averaging 12.4 points, 6.2 rebounds and 7.0 assists. He was also shooting 41.2 percent from the field, 38.3 percent from beyond the arc and 56.7 percent from the free-throw line.

Lonzo and the Pelicans are hoping the season resumes. New Orleans was fighting for the eighth spot in the West with the Portland Trail Blazers and Memphis Grizzlies.

Prior to the season getting suspended, the Grizzlies were in eighth place, while the Pelicans were in 10th.
