New Orleans Pelicans point guard Lonzo Ball is looking forward to playing with No. 1 overall pick Zion Williamson again.

Ball and Williamson played well together in the preseason for the Pelicans. Ball says Williamson's return will be “amazing” for his game.

“It’s going to be amazing when he gets back, especially for my game,” Ball said, via Nola.com. “It’s going to open up a lot of things for shooters for sure because people are going to suck in, and he’s going to make the right play.”

Zion Williamson underwent surgery to repair a torn lateral meniscus in October. The meniscus surgery Williamson underwent is unknown, although most experts believe it was a meniscectomy rather than a true repair since the initial estimated timeline of recovery was six to eight weeks.

In his lone season at Duke, Williamson put on an absolute show. The forward averaged 22.6 points, 8.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game while shooting 68.0 percent from the field, 33.8 percent from beyond the arc and 64.0 percent from the free-throw line.

Lonzo Ball has been playing some of the best basketball of his career lately for the Pelicans. He's putting up 17.4 points and 5.5 assists over his last eight games while shooting 47.8 percent overall and 44.1 percent from the 3-point line.

The Pelicans certainly can't wait to get Williamson back in the lineup, but they are going to remain cautious.
