New Orleans Pelicans guard Jrue Holiday has gained a considerable amount of interest from multiple teams ahead of the offseason. One of those teams, according to Yahoo Sports' Vincent Goodwill, is the Denver Nuggets.

A hot name in the rumor mill: New Orleans Pelicans guard Jrue Holiday. As many as 10 teams are inquiring about his services, considering the Pelicans will be looking to shed salary moving forward. … And there's one team in particular that's hotter on him than everyone else. And here's a hint…they played in the Conference Finals in the bubble.

Goodwill's somewhat cryptic ending to his statement could mean other teams such as the Los Angeles Lakers, but it would've likely been indicated that the team of most interest played in the NBA Finals rather than the former.

Holiday is an intriguing veteran that could give the Nuggets another scoring option alongside Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic. At 30, Holiday has spent the last seven seasons of his career trying to will the Pelicans to the promise land though to no avail. After watching his close friend and former teammate Anthony Davis bolt to Los Angeles in the 2019 offseason, Holiday was tasked with rallying a group of young talent headlined by Zion Williamson.

With the Nuggets, Holiday's chances of competing for a title increase greatly, surrounded by an experienced coaching staff along with developing young talent that's proven they can win. The Pelicans, meanwhile, are looking to hit the reset button after recently hiring Stan Van Gundy on Wednesday.

Holiday averaged 19.1 points, 6.7 assists and 4.8 rebounds last season with the Pelicans.
