Things you thought you would never say: Anthony Davis is not a very popular man in New Orleans right now.

The superstar big man asked the Pelicans for a trade earlier in the week, and now, he is already incurring the wrath of Pelicans fans, as—gasp—two people booed him at their game against the Houston Rockets on Friday night:

Surely, you got the sarcasm there, but regardless, Davis is probably never going to be cheered in the Big Easy ever again.

Davis is currently sidelined with a finger injury.

After six-and-a-half years with the Pelicans, the 25-year-old has decided that he has had enough, and now, the rest of the league is being turned upside-down, as arguably the best power forward we have seen since the days of Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett is on the block.

Of course, there are probably only a few teams with a legitimate shot of trading for The Brow, with the Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks being considered the frontrunners.

The trade deadline is Feb. 7, so the Pelicans could strike a deal over the next week, but it doesn't seem very likely.

Chances are, New Orleans will wait until the summer to deal Davis, giving Dell Demps and the rest of the Pels' front office more time to look over offers and gauge the market overall.

Regardless, it may very well be possible that Davis has played his last game as a member of the Pelicans.

During his run with New Orleans, Davis made the playoffs just twice.
