The New Orleans Pelicans are reportedly seeking a stretch big man to pair with Zion Williamson in exchange for the No. 4 overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, according to Malika Andrews of ESPN.

The Pelicans acquired the fourth pick from the Los Angeles Lakers in the blockbuster Anthony Davis trade. Numerous reports have suggested New Orleans is listening to offers for the pick.

“What they really want to see is a veteran big man put on the table,” Andrews said on ESPN's Get Up. “That's what they're interested in. They need a veteran big to stretch the floor for Zion so he's not playing on the inside all the time.”

The Pelicans will select Williamson with the first overall pick tonight. Apparently, there are multiple teams who have contacted New Orleans about the fourth pick. We'll see if David Griffin strikes another deal or opts to keep the pick and take the best player available.

With Williamson, the Pelicans will have three players who are adept at getting to the rim. Lonzo Ball, Jrue Holiday and Zion penetrate defenses very well. It would be beneficial for those guys to play with a big man who can bring his defender out to the perimeter so there are more driving lanes to attack.
