The Toronto Raptors were unable to defend their home turf against the Houston Rockets on Tuesday night. It appears shooting guard Danny Green has an idea of what attributed to their current struggles.

The Raptors have made some significant changes to their roster over the last year. According to Josh Lewenberg of TSN Sports, Green feels the bench unit is still getting used to playing with each other.

Green says its been tough for the bench units to build chemistry with guys in/out (injuries, trade). Can they do that in 5 weeks? “You hope so. We'll find out. It should be when you've got guys with high IQs. I think we have more than enough time to make it work.”

Green's comments are certainly understandable. Although Toronto has made some notable upgrades to their roster, they have not had much time to mesh with each other. It is clear that this will be a focus for the Raptors down the final stretch of the 2018-19 NBA season.

Toronto's biggest change came with the arrival of Danny Green and forward Kawhi Leonard. Both players have managed to etch out central roles in the team's success this season. The Raptors continued to make moves well into the season when they acquired center Marc Gasol and point guard Jeremy Lin at the trade deadline. Unfortunately, their recent injuries to the roster have hindered their ability to synergize.

Regardless, the Raptors do not have much time to get it figured out. Despite their recent changes, the expectations are still as high as ever in Toronto. They will need to rely heavily on their depth in the postseason if they hope to stave off some of the other star-studded teams in the Eastern Conference.
