Serge Ibaka and Marquese Chriss got in a physical altercation during the third quarter of the game between the Toronto Raptors and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday.

The fight began when both players exchanged verbal jabs that led to Ibaka doing some type of a choke hold on Chriss, who retaliated by throwing multiple punches. Both players were restrained but also got ejected from the game.

After the game, Raptors forward Danny Green told Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun that he noticed that Serge Ibaka was already upset with multiple guys from the Cavs side in as early as the first few minutes of the game.

“I just saw some stuff building up. Some frustration. Not just with him but throughout the game with a lot of guys,”  Danny Green said.

“Some things not going our way. And I saw them get tangled up earlier in the game and I guess it kind of escalated. An altercation happened very fast.”

According to Ibaka's spokesperson, Chriss said something to Serge which led to the fracas. It wasn't confirmed what the exact words were, but Ibaka surely didn't like it.

Serge Ibaka and Marquese Chriss are expected to be suspended for a couple of games due to their actions. They will also likely receive fines depending on the results of the league office's investigation of the incident. More details should come out within the next 24 hours.

The Cavs won the game over the Raptors, 126-101.
