The New York Giants had the sixth pick in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft on Thursday. Dwayne Haskins fell into their lap as their franchise quarterback of the future. Instead, they took Duke quarterback Daniel Jones. LaDainian Tomlinson believes that was a huge mistake.

Dwayne Haskins to the New York Giants made a lot of sense. That's why a lot of people expected the Giants to take him once he managed to fall to them at six. They opted for Jones, however — and you could see Haskins was visibly upset.

Haskins fell even further, all the way to the Washington Redskins at 15. He's clearly ready to help the Redskins, but is holding a grudge against the Giants, his favorite team growing up.

There's a good chance Daniel Jones will work out nicely for New York. However, Dwayne Haskins has the potential to be the best quarterback in this draft. Tomlinson is absolutely right in saying that Haskins could be a massive thorn in the side of the Giants for the next decade.

Being NFC East rivals, there's already a lot of intrigue when the two teams meet twice a year. Now therewill be even more of a reason to tune in.

Both the New York Giants and Washington Redskins have their quarterback of the future in place now. Washington's quarterback happens to have a grudge with New York.

LaDainian Tomlinson seems to believe that will fuel Dwayne Haskins to be even better. It's hard to argue with him on that point.
