It was an emotional evening for John Wall on Monday as he returned to DC for the first time. The Washington Wizards are hosting the Houston Rockets on Monday, which prompted a hilarious request from Grizzlies stud Ja Morant.

According to Morant, Wall should definitely hit the dougie when the Wizards announce him in the starting lineup — something that Wall himself reacted to on Twitter:

Wall, who has been known to bust out the dougie on more than a few occasions during his lengthy spell with the Wizards, clearly had no intention to show off his dance moves in his first game back in his former stomping ground. It would have been hilarious — as Morant clearly believes — but it just wouldn't feel right.

In true John Wall fashion, though, the five-time All-Star opened Houston's account on the evening with a familiar solo effort. He drained a contested mid-range jumper over Wizards youngster Rui Hachimura as he scored his first bucket back in his return to Washington.

Wall has not made his true feelings about his move to Houston a secret. Recently, he had another jab at the Wizards organization for not being upfront with him in the lead-up to the Rockets trade. This also isn't the first time Wall has criticized Washington for how they handled his move. Needless to say, there is some ill will between both parties (or at least from Wall's perspective), which adds a bit of spice to Monday night's matchup.
