The NBA has denied the Houston Rockets of their protest in the events that happened in their loss to the San Antonio Spurs.

Houston filed a protest with the league office regarding a dunk by James Harden that was incorrectly called a missed field goal. The Rockets went on to lose the game 135-133 in double overtime to the Spurs.

Houston was hoping that the final seven minutes and 50 seconds of the game would be replayed with the Rockets up by 15 points against the Spurs.

The Rockets are 15-7 on the season, fourth place in the Western Conference standings.

This was the outcome that most people around the league expected. It was doubtful from the beginning that the game would be replayed. This is a contest the Rockets just have to blame themselves for since they were up by 20-plus points.

Houston can’t blame the missed dunk by the refs as the reason it lost the game to the Spurs.

As expected, the Rockets are one of the best offensive teams in the NBA with Harden and Russell Westbrook leading the charge. Houston is averaging 120.5 points a night, good for second place in the league.

However, Houston is giving up 114.9 points per game, 23rd in the NBA.
