Tuesday night's matchup between the Houston Rockets and the Washington Wizards was the first time Russell Westbrook faced off against his former team. Despite having spent only one season in Houston, the Rockets still came out with a touching tribute video for the nine-time All-Star prior to tip-off.

Here's a glimpse at the endearing tribute courtesy of Kelly Iko of The Athletic:

Westbrook made the move to Washington not too long ago as part of the deal that sent John Wall in the opposite direction. Westbrook spent just one season playing alongside James Harden — now with the Brooklyn Nets — in Houston in a campaign that ultimately ended in disappointment.

The tribute video featured several clips of Westbrook doing some community work — something that has characterized the former MVP's career outside the basketball court. Clearly, the Rockets organization appreciates what Westbrook has done to help lift the community in Houston.

While Westbrook is welcomed by the Rockets with open arms, Wall's situation with his former team is not as amicable. Wall came out with an all-out tirade against the Wizards on Monday expressing his distaste in how he feels he was so poorly treated in the buildup to the trade. Wizards coach Scott Brooks himself denied the allegations, saying how he personally believed all along that Wall was on the right track towards his highly-anticipated comeback. Needless to say, there is some bad blood between Wall and the Wizards organization right now, and it does not appear as though this is ending anytime soon.
