Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony recently hooked up and worked out together on the basketball court. It would have been nothing to write home about if not for the rumors that Anthony could soon become a member of the Houston Rockets once he clears waivers in the event that his salary for the 2018-19 season is bought out by the Atlanta Hawks.

It may not be long from now that Paul and Anthony would be on the same team, but until anything is signed, there’s still a possibility that all the reports that points to the 10-time All-Star joining Chris Paul and James Harden in Houston will go to waste. Nevertheless, it’s hard to ignore and not make anything out of the sight of the two superstars breaking sweat on the court.

If anything, this is the second pair of the Banana Boat Team that was seen doing drills on the court on Thursday. LeBron James and Dwyane Wade were also spotted hoisting up shots in Las Vegas Thursday morning.

At present, Carmelo Anthony remains a Hawk after the Oklahoma City Thunder shipped him there via a three-team trade that also involved the Philadelphia 76ers.

The idea of Anthony as a member of the Rockets threads is a welcome one for Harden, who seemed warm to the possibility of forming a Big Three with CP3 and the Melo when asked about it on Thursday.

Anthony, who turned 34 last May, averaged a career-low of 16.2 points to go with 5.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 78 games for the Thunder last season.
