Houston Rockets star James Harden and center Clint Capela met up at the Toyota Center on Friday to do some stair workouts.

Harden and Capela had the escalators at the Toyota Center turned off and did their stair workouts on the escalators.

As you can hear from Clint Capela's voice, he and James Harden are trying to get their conditioning up for the upcoming season. After all, the Rockets acquired Russell Westbrook this summer, so Houston is going to be playing really fast next season.

Harden put up 36.1 points per game last season and scored at least 30 points in 32 games in a row at one point in the season for the Rockets. Harden scored at least 50 points nine times as well. He shot 44.2 percent from the field, 36.8 percent from beyond the arc and 87.9 percent from the foul line.

The Rockets won 53 games, but once again lost to the Golden State Warriors in the playoffs. Houston is banking on Harden and Westbrook to lead the franchise to the promised land next season. The Rockets are the only team in the NBA right now with two MVPs on its roster.

Capela averaged 16.6 points, 12.7 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.5 blocks while shooting 64.8 percent from the floor in 2018-19. The Rockets signed Capela to a lucrative $90 million deal last offseason, so Houston fans wanted more from him in the postseason.

Capela averaged 8.8 points and 10.0 rebounds in the six-game series versus the Warriors. He shot 53.5 percent from the field, but had a negative plus/minus in four out of the six games.
