Houston Rockets superstar Russell Westbrook had a bittersweet homecoming in his return to the Chesapeake Energy Arena on Thursday. The 31-year-old guard did receive a touching video tribute prior to tip-off, but the Rockets came out on a losing end of a 92-113 beatdown from his former team.

A clip showed a disoriented Russell Westbrook clearly upset with his team's lack of effort, as he stayed as far away as possible from the team during a timeout. The eight-time All-Star had a blank expression on his face as he sat at the far end of the bench, away from his huddled up teammates.

His fellow superstar James Harden offered to show some support, as he came over Westbrook and whispered some consoling words to his ear.

Known as a fiery competitor, Westbrook clearly wanted to leave OKC with a W in hand. He certainly did his part, notching 34 points and five assists in 34 minutes, while shooting 14-of-26 from the filed. The league's leading scorer Harden figured in an off night, pitching in just 17 points, while the rest of the team failed to score in double figures.
