Russell Westbrook chases numbers more than any player in the league. But he maintains he only cares about one thing: winning.

Every Russ interview is essentially the same. Westbrook is just out there trying to do what's best for the team. That's what he always says.

But it's gotten to the point where it's simply impossible to ignore the numbers.

Averaging a triple-double this late in the season is something that hasn't been done since Oscar Robertson in the early 1960s. Surely, even Russ needs to start noticing his statistical greatness.

Finally, he has admitted when he will begin to be proud of the triple-doubles.

Via The Oklahoman:

“I don’t know,” Westbrook said. “If it gets me a championship, yeah.”

That's it. Not until then. That's Russ for you.

Oklahoma City has grown to love Westbrook for what he does on the court and also how he carries himself off it. This type of attitude, not caring about the numbers, just leaving it all on the floor is what OKC is all about.
