During his playing days, Shaquille O'Neal made a name for himself as a dominant force inside the paint and ended up as one of the fiercest competitors in league history. Now that he's already retired, he has more time to make guest appearances on TV shows to allow his fans to get to know him better.

That was the case when the former MVP and four-time champion was recently featured on Jimmy Kimmel Live. O'Neal shared some stories about his past experiences, including once giving a $4,000 tip to a waiter.

“When I’m at restaurants, I like to show people my appreciation. So when they come up to the table, I say, the quicker I get my order the bigger your tip will be. When we’re getting ready to leave I’ll ask them what do you want.”

“And the most someone said was $4,000. And I said okay no problem.”

The interview was a very entertaining one as O'Neal has his way of making the audience laugh with his simple, yet very comical responses.

While it's not common for a restaurant customer to give that much as a tip, it only goes to show how big his heart is. It also gave the viewers a different perspective of him, far from how he was a player and Inside the NBA host.
