PokeStop Showcases

The Scorching Steps event will also be featuring PokeStop Showcases! Thus, be sure to be on the lookout for those XXL Pokemon and remember not to accidentally transfer them.

Mega Evolved Pokemon for Scorching Steps

With Scorching Steps featuring just Fire-types, mega evolving a Fire-type Pokemon like Mega Charizard Y makes the most sense for this event. However, Primal Groudon also gives bonus candy for Fire-types so it is an option as well.

Special Timed Research for Scorching Steps

There is also a special timed research for the Scorching Steps event in Pokemon GO. Simply logging in during the duration of the event will give you access to the Scorching Steps-themed Timed Research.

Basically, the timed research simply involves players hatching eggs the entire time. Once tasks are completed, players can reap Stardust, XP, and more encounters with event-themed Pokemon as rewards.

If you do decide to complete this timed research, you have to finish this and get the rewards before Scorching Steps ends, which is on June 25, 2024 at 8 PM local time.

Medals to Grind on Scorching Steps

Trainers can obtain medals in the game by completing different objectives and reaching predetermined benchmarks. A few of those medals also provide ongoing in-game bonuses.
