Philadelphia 76ers owner Josh Harris says it would be “problematic” if the Sixers lost to the Boston Celtics in the playoffs this season.

The Sixers lost to the Celtics in the second-round of the 2018 postseason in five games. Philly is just 2-9 against Boston over the past three regular seasons.

With a revamped roster which includes Tobias Harris and Jimmy Butler, Josh Harris is expecting big things from the Sixers in this year's playoffs.

“It would be problematic,” Harris told Jackie MacMullan of ESPN if Boston lost to the Celtics. “Very problematic. It would not be what we're playing for.

“We'd be unhappy. I'd be unhappy. The city would be unhappy. We're going to work hard to make sure that doesn't happen. We have enough talent on our roster that if we play the way we're capable of playing, we can beat any team in the East.”

After defeating the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday, Philly improved to 40-22 on the season, putting them in the fourth spot in the Eastern Conference standings. The Sixers are three games ahead of the Celtics in the standings and playing much better basketball than Boston.

Before the season started, Boston was the favorite to win the East. However, this year has been tough for the Celtics, who are 37-25 and currently on a four-game losing streak. The Sixers arguably have the best starting lineup in the East in Ben Simmons, J.J. Redick, Tobias Harris, Jimmy Butler and Joel Embiid.

Philly should at least be able to get to the Conference Finals, but it looks like the team owner is expecting his team to advance to the NBA Finals.
