Sixers star Ben Simmons continues to be sidelined due to mental health problems. The Aussie has voiced that he isn't prepared to play quite yet after his disastrous collapse in the playoffs last season. Chicago Bulls legend Scottie Pippen has offered Simmons a piece of advice on his struggles: Be more like Giannis Antetokounmpo. Take a listen:

Pippen has a very good point. The Greek Freak has airballed threes, free throws, you name it. That's arguably the most embarrassing thing you can do in the sport. But, he's persevered and improved those facets of his game. As for Simmons, he did similar things for the Sixers in the postseason and looked scared to even take a shot. But instead of improving and working on his craft, the guard essentially stonewalled the Philly franchise in the summer and said he never wanted to play for them again.

Don't get me wrong, the Sixers fans were absolutely awful towards Simmons. That would be hard for any 25-year-old to handle, but let's be honest, he's getting paid millions upon millions to get a job done. Simmons didn't come through. The former number one pick needs some humility.

A change of scenery is likely the best-case scenario for Ben Simmons, but he also needs to hold himself accountable and not play the blame game. While the Sixers faithful didn't exactly make it easy for Simmons to have any love for this organization anymore, his teammates have backed him up since learning that he is dealing with mental health issues

It will be interesting to see what happens with the situation, but Pippen is definitely not wrong. Simmons should in fact take a page out of Antetokounmpo's book.
