Philadelphia 76ers head coach Brett Brown is flirting with the possibility of letting center Joel Embiid play his first back-to-back of the season in the upcoming set against the Washington Wizards and the Boston Celtics, according to Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Embiid has had his minutes limitations lifted completely after his first encounter against the Golden State Warriors, but now faces the last bar to clear before the Sixers have truly unleashed its full wrath upon the NBA.

Brown noted he's given it some thought, not sure if he'll play his big man in this upcoming one after Embiid's setbacks during his first two seasons in the league and last season's injuries.

“We are kicking that around, though,” said Brown.

The Sixers will host the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight and will take on the Wizards on Wednesday, departing immediately after to take on the league-leading Boston Celtics at the TD Garden.

Embiid has looked spry during his last few outings, including posting career-highs against the L.A. Clippers and a 46-point eruption against the Los Angeles Lakers to put the NBA on notice.

Philly will play it carefully, despite Embiid's eagerness to play, but the fact that Brown is thinking about it means that the 7-footer is closer to full fitness than ever before.
