In a league full of characters, Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid is perhaps the biggest one of all. Known for his incredibly skilled post game and physical dominance, Embiid is also elite in the social media universe. The provider of constant trolls and blatant recruiting, there’s never a dull moment when dealing with the Sixers' African-born center.

After undergoing a rough start to his NBA career due to injuries, Embiid is now starting to display the talent and potential that was promised when the Sixers selected him third overall in the 2014 NBA draft. After overcoming the injury bug, Embiid has gone from strength to strength posting averages of 22.9 points per game and 11 rebounds last campaign earning him his first All-Star appearance.

As players are in the gym working on their games before training camp begins, a lot of stars have also stepped away from the court in an attempt to help out communities across the nation and the world. Embiid has been the centerpiece of African-born NBA players traveling back home to help out in the poorer communities.

A basketball game was also on display for the African people as Embiid suited up next to the likes of Danilo Gallinari, JaVale McGee, and Hassan Whiteside just to name a view to put on a show.

As always, Embiid did find time to have a laugh and joke whilst helping out in the village, poking fun at himself in the middle of his charity work.

Embiid noticeably references the playoffs in his tweet, which should be at the forefront of all Sixers fan minds right now. After his failed attempt to lure superstar free agent LeBron James to Philly, the Sixers' future now rests on himself and the development of special youngster Ben Simmons in an attempt to take this team to new heights.
