Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid admitted that he told Toronto Raptors head coach Nick Nurse to “stop bitching about calls” during the closing seconds of Game 2 of their playoff series.

Embiid and Nurse was spotted exchanging words late in the game, and it certainly didn't look like they were giving pleasantries to each other based on their reactions.

While Nurse refused to go into detail on what transpired, only giving a tongue-in-cheek response, the Sixers superstar didn't sugarcoat it at all and got real about what happened.

“I told him, respectfully, to stop bitching about calls,” Embiid said of the moment, per Kyle Neubeck of The Philly Voice.

For what it's worth, Joel Embiid highlighted that he has nothing but respect for Nick Nurse. He also expressed his understanding that when coaches argue with the referees for calls, it is their way to motivate their players.

But then again, it's hard not to feel for Nurse in this one. Guarding Embiid is a frustrating task, and given how dominant he is on the paint, all the Raptors can do is foul the Sixers big man and pray that he's going to miss his freebies.

Unfortunately for the Raptors, that hasn't worked out well so far. Embiid has dominated in both Games 1 and 2, allowing the Sixers to record back-to-back blowouts as well.

With that being said, JoJo shouldn't expect the Raptors tactician to stop arguing for calls.
